Single Ended 300B amplifier, zero feedback, and yet measures really well. How? Let’s break it down.
It’s all about the operating points. Careful attention to voltages, load impedances, and interaction between gain stages, capacitances and other details can result in performance much better than a generic standard design.
Many tube designers have tried to think of “something new” and improved only to discover – yeah that was done in 1933 (don’t ask how we know).
So even if you can find many very good details in the best classical designt, you are unlikeley to fint then all together in one design.
We believe putting it all together and combining the best ways with good materials is the thing.
Our 300B amplifier uses a Emission Labs 5U4G Mesh tube which is Choke Loaded with a Lundahl LL1673 dual coil choke in low Common Mode configuration. In this configuration, there is ultra low ripple and virtually no field radiation from the choke.
A choke input amplifier also delivers superior filtering from Electromagnetic Interference from the power line.
